Chapter 1

Humanity is fighting for their lives in a dimension called the Abyss. The 4 last humans, Eres, Keldian, Kangtae and Kang Hansoo have just reached Erkanian's Time Space Crystal belonging to the golden dragons. The last 100 humans, the Final Brigade, have used their lives to delay the dragons so that these 4 have the chance to use the crystal to go back in time. The crystal can only send one person so they decide to send Hansoo who has the highest potential to go back in time 55 years to when he first joined the Otherworld.

Chapter 2-4

Kang Hansoo was sent back to the past when he first joined the Otherworld. He participates in the first Tutorial session where he kills a number of goblins and receives a sword. His goal in the tutorial stage is to find a number of hidden pieces that will help him to be stronger and complete the final secret dungeon in the tutorial.

Chapter 5-10

He goes into an abandoned subway station to recover the first hidden piece and is followed by Sangjin, Jin Mihee and a number of other people. They happen upon a convenience store where they stock up on supplies and bury some food. He recovers the first hidden piece which is the Maniac's Cloud Snack. He does not take any skills because his trait <Seven Stars> limits him to only having 7 skills. He decides to wait for extremely strong skills before learning them.

Chapter 11-15

He leaves the station to find that all food in the convenience store has been stolen. The Otherworld's Moon comes out and burns away all the food in everyone's possession. Hansoo cooks monster meat and eats as much as he can. This unlocks a hidden achievement and he gets the Selfish Wealthy Man's Food Jar. He is now able to store food without fearing the Moon. Others try to steal his food and runes but he beats them all (he leaves them alive but they are killed by others).

Chapter 16-21

Using the Maniac's Cloud Snack, he manages to defeat the Carnivorous Beast in the Altar that the fairies send as a test. From the altar he receives another hidden piece, Nurmaha's Ring, Solo numbering <9>. Sangjin speaks to Hansoo and agrees to be his Punisher to help kill humans whom Hansoo can't kill openly.

Chapter 22-50

0ud-002 — <Demonic Dragon> A Dragon, the most well balanced existences. They had a different origin from humans and were of a different grade as well. And among those born as such that have chosen the path of the demon, the most twisted being. Their power was something that couldn’t even be explained with words...- Ch.54, Red Arc

He manages to go through the tutorial collecting more hidden pieces (see Tutorial for a full breakdown) and reaches the Final Secret Dungeon by climbing on the outside of the final tower (everyone else is inside). He defeats a final boss in the shape of a weakened demonic dragon and receives the skill <Demonic Dragon Reinforcement>. In the dungeon he was also given the choice to choose a second trait, and chooses <Fragments of Seven Souls> due to its ability to control and communicate with people across the Zones.

-Hansoo's goal is the revival of the World Tree, which will provide a large amount of nutrition to mankind and will allow them to grow their strength. He also wants to install a king to rule the zone who will train the humans and make things hard for them without killing them off. He therefore has to defeat the Five Calamities and the hidden King. By using alchemy, he defeats the first Calamity, Calamity Fish. From that, he received several artifacts including a sword, Galadriang's Relic, and the Divine Stone Fragment.

He had also hidden a large number of runes and artifacts for himself that were gifted by Eres, Keldian and Kangtae. Hansoo tells Sangjin where the Runes and artifacts are hidden and Sangjin gets them for himself. In the process, Sangjin also obtains the solo numbering skill <Lord of the Dead>.
-The hidden king of the Elvenheims, Tekilon, is found to be a soul who possessed an Elvenheim, and is from a race called the Akarons, who live in the next zone. He intended to come and eliminate the Elvenheims to make a land for the Akarons to thrive. Unfortunately, the portal he created to his world would only work one way and could not bring the Akarons over. Hansoo promised to help his race and so Tekilon agreed to help Hansoo and come with him.
-The clone, Alpha, was left as the king of the Red Zone and with a Fragment of Hansoo's soul that allowed Hansoo to control him. He was left with instructions to raise the humans to become strong without destroying them, and to later create an army loyal to Hansoo.

-The Orang Zone is a zone where humans live atop large monsters called Gragos, who wade in a sea of lava. There is another race called the Akarons, who have a surgery that can enhance their body using the essence of the Gragos. Hansoo aims to get this surgery for mankind to instantly make them more powerful and increase their chances in the Abyss.

They believe him when he tells them he found the memory crystal of one of their most brilliant researchers, [[Elkadion]]. Hansoo led a small group to recover the Crown of Thorns which was given to [[Taruhol]], the strongest Akaron, with the agreement that he would take Hansoo's soul fragment and be the king of the Orange Zone. Hansoo took an artifact called the [[Dragon Essence Blade]], but unknown to him, it was fake.
-The Crown of Thorns led Taruhol to the real Dragon Essence Blade, but the crown suddenly possessed him, made him absorb the artifact, then suddenly summoned Elkadion's soul into his body.

-[[Elkadion]] was able to ignore Hansoo's soul fragment and reached a truce with him to have both the Akarons and humans cooperate. However, she attempted a dangerous experiment to make the Akarons stronger and accidentally summoned something extremely powerful from the Abyss, one of the Dark Cloud race, Galkima.
-Galkima took over the Akadus and massacred them. Hansoo prepared some special blue spiders that could attack the dark clouds used to control, and he gave these out to humans. Some accepted them and helped Hansoo to fight back. Hansoo took this advantage to attack Galkima. Galkima took over Elkadion's (Taruhol's) body to become stronger. However, this was Elkadion's plan, and she had already instructed Hansoo to take some poisons that were strong against an Akaron. Hansoo used these to defeat Galkima.
-The soul fragment was transplanted into [[Kim Gwanje]] and he also received the Crown of Thorns and became the king of the Orange zone. The fairies reward everyone who helped to defeat Galkima. They each receive a small portion of Dark Cloud that allows them to control others (or machines), with Hansoo getting the most. Hansoo also receives the real Dragon Essence Blade which increases his physical strength further. Hansoo left the Orange Zone and went alone to the Yellow Zone.

-Hansoo meets some humans and goes to a Hidden Village. The humans follow him. Along the way he also uses his Dark Cloud to control a black panther (important later). This zone is ruled by 3 Higher Races who enslave humans and play with them like toys. They are the Akalachias (modified parrots), Rebeloongs (modified mice), and Arukons (modified dogs). To escape, humans must follow the Green Road to the end where the portal lies. However, this is extremely dangerous, and most will build up their strength in the villages first.
-These villages will also periodically offer sacrifices to the Higher Races so that they will be left alone. The village is divided into Hunters, who protect the village from beasts, and Farmers, who farm. Only the Farmers are usually chosen to be sacrificed.
-Hansoo joins as a Hunter to gain more freedom. He looks for a Sage hideout and finds a Sealing Jade, left behind by the Sages, who were the previous masters of the 3 Higher Races before the 3 races betrayed and killed them. At this time Dakidus, an Arukon in charge of collecting sacrifices, comes to the village.

-Hansoo uses the Sealing Jade to seal off all mana including the mana that protects Dakidus from his Satellite Fortress. When Dakidus tries to fall back on his Satellite Fortress, Hansoo uses the black panther to sneak into the fortress and transfer the dark cloud into the mana engine. He then sends the mana to himself and defeats Dakidus. He also uses the extra mana to eliminate the human traitors by evolving his skill <Pandemic Blade>. He is able to evolve his skill thanks to his trait <Seven Stars>.
-It is revealed that a human called [[Clementine]] came through this zone in the past and made a deal with the higher races. The humans would be divided into small villages so that they would stay weak and could not threaten the higher races. In return, the higher races would allow a few humans to pass through the Green Road and reach the portal. Along the way the humans would be tested so that they would be loyal to Clementine as they go up to the higher zones. The higher races agreed because Clementine had the Destruction Jade, a stronger version of the Sealing Jade, making her a possible threat for them.
-Clementine left Metiron in charge of the zone and went through the portal. Metiron, in turn, used his trait <Lord> and appointed a few people in each hidden village. These are the human traitors on the side of the higher races.

-Hansoo divided the dropped runes and the artifacts from the village armory among the remaining humans. He then asked them to divide into smaller groups and join the other villages. When the time comes and he attacks the higher races, he expects them to attack the human traitors under Clementine.
-He then leaves for a secret location with 2 humans, Ekidu and Karhal. He goes to the Underground Maze where he hopes to obtain another legacy of the Sages.

-Hansoo enters the maze and attempts to find [[The King's Tomb]]. Inside, there should be a crown that allows him to fully control the underground maze which he can use to kill the higher races. While inside, an Arukon called Akitrus chases Hansoo to the outside of the maze. Fearing a trap, he collars a few humans and sends them inside to look for Hansoo. Junghwan, an underling of Metiron who is in charge of the underground maze, also comes over when seeing Akitrus. Akitrus convinces him to go inside to find Hansoo as well.
-Junghwan accepts and ends up fighting Hansoo. He loses the Red Marble, which is the item used to control (only a bit) the Underground Maze. Hansoo uses his Dark Cloud to hack into the Red Jade and open up a path to the King's Tomb. Hansoo, Junghwan and Akitrus all fall into the King's Tomb. Junghwan finds the Lost King's Crown which can control the Underground Maze fully. He makes Akitrus and Hansoo fight and Hansoo ends up winning.
-Junghwan leaves his body behind and his mind merges with the maze itself. He breaks free of the Lord symbol that Metiron placed on him to ensure his loyalty. He then remembers the hate he has for Metiron for enslaving his younger brother.
-He decides to help Hansoo after Hansoo convinces him that Hansoo can save his younger brother from the [[Birdcage]] situated at the end of the Green Road.
-=== Chapter 187-198 ===
-Junghwan creates a large golem body by rearranging the metal of the Underground Maze. He uses it to attack satellite fortresses which attract more satellite fortresses and creates a diversion for Hansoo. Meanwhile, the 3 higher races suspect the humans of trying to kill them, so they attack Metiron. Metiron uses the Destruction Jade which is attached to a ring he wears and seals the mana in the birdcage. He kills the Arukon King, Dakemeia, as well as many Rebeloongs that were with him, then escapes.
-Hansoo reaches the Birdcage and jumps in with Karhal, while Ekidu protects the entrance/exit to stop anyone escaping with the Destruction Jade. He kills of many of the higher races then follows some Akalachias when they escape. The Akalachias are led by a First Generation Akalachia called Pektoril who knows where the secret labs are. Most of the higher races are second and third generation. They enter the secret lab and Hansoo follows quietly behind them before the secret entrance closes.
-It is revealed that the Sages were human like and wanted to create creatures that could handle the enhancement <Mana Pool>. Therefore they experimented on dogs, mice, parrots and monkeys and created the modified beings Arukons, Rebeloongs, Akalachias and Makrons. These were the first generation. One day, a majority of the Sages disappeared and the animals revolted and killed the remaining sages.
-Since the Sages created them, they also had ways to counteract them. The Destruction Jade was created to remove their mana, while the Red Jade was created to remove their sanity.
-Pektoril obtains the Destruction Jade that [[Metiron]] purposely left behind. Hansoo appears and the Akalachias want to kill him but he uses the Red Jade to make them go berserk and attack each other. [[Pektoril]] escapes through a door that can only be opened with the Destruction Jade and finds hundreds of thousands of Sages frozen asleep in blue containers.
